But the week before he had a birthday party with some of his friends. We decided to take them to a corn maze where we wouldn't have to do a lot of work. But we didn't think about how much work it was going to be trying to keep track of nine boys running around a corn maze!
Here are the boys before we went on a trick or treat hay ride. On the ride they threw handfuls and handfuls of candy at the kids. I managed to catch A LOT and I didn't share it with any of them! They tried to get it from me, but when it comes to my candy, BACK OFF!
On the ride. They were still searching for any candy that was left hidden in the hay. (It was in my pocket)!
Tan going down the slide. The slide was so close to picnic tables that when they got to the bottom of the slide they ran into people and almost knocked them down. That's when you walk away and pretend you don't know the kid.

What a cutie and fun idea for a birthday party. That is totally my kind a party. He looks so grown up, are we seriously old enough to have kids eight?
Seriously, he's eight? How does that happen! Everyone's kids are growing up too fast. . including my own!
What a great birthday party. That looks like so much fun. I am glad that he had a great time.
Fun Birthday party! I can't believe we have 8 yr olds...Hope you guys are feeling better, we had it this past week too!
I'm sorry you were all sick on his birthday. But he's a lucky kid to have a mom who plans parties in advance! You have a great family, Shell. And you are doing a great job!
PS How nice that my boy has his mouth open and tongue out in the pic! ha ha ha.
Look at that adorable happy smile. The birthday party must have been a success!
